A Study in Texture

What makes this Beni Ouarain particularly beautiful is its tone-on-tone construction. Instead of using dark wool to define the traditional diamond motif, the artisan has created the pattern through subtle differences in pile height.

The recessed lines form large, softly irregular diamonds across the surface, while the dense natural wool catches the light differently throughout the day. The result is minimalist from a distance and wonderfully tactile when seen up close.

It is a contemporary interpretation of Moroccan weaving that retains the warmth, individuality and unmistakable character of a genuinely handmade Berber rug.
