Handwoven in Morocco by Amazigh women artisans, this Beni Ouarain rug is crafted from 100% natural sheep wool using traditional techniques passed down through generations.

What makes this piece especially refined is its tonal interpretation of the classic Beni Ouarain diamond motif. Instead of the familiar dark geometric lines, the pattern is woven in a soft natural beige against a warm ivory background. The result is subtle and architectural: the diamonds appear and disappear depending on the light and direction of the wool.

The close-up reveals the beauty of the handwork particularly well. Differences in pile height and texture give the surface depth and make the geometric design feel almost sculpted into the wool.

What It Brings to Your Home

This is a Beni Ouarain for someone who wants texture rather than strong contrast.

From a distance, the rug feels calm, creamy and almost monochromatic. Up close, its oversized diamond pattern becomes much more visible, adding structure without disturbing the serenity of the room.

The warm ivory and sandy-beige palette is particularly easy to combine with natural materials and neutral interiors. It can soften minimalist architecture, warm up polished concrete or stone floors, and introduce texture into rooms dominated by white, beige or wood.

Its 265 × 145 cm elongated format also makes it useful in spaces where a wider rug would overwhelm the proportions.

More Than a Rug — A Human Connection

Choosing a handmade Moroccan rug means bringing something into your home that carries a human story. This piece was woven slowly by hand by an Amazigh artisan, using techniques and textile knowledge passed between generations. The work supports artisan families and helps keep traditional weaving alive as a meaningful livelihood rather than allowing it to disappear into industrial production. Its natural sheep wool creates another connection — this time to the landscape and the materials that have sustained Moroccan weaving for generations.

The subtle irregularities in its diamonds, the changing density of the wool and the slight variations in its lines are not manufacturing flaws. They are traces of the artisan's hand and part of what makes every authentic handmade rug unique.

Each rug is:

  • Individually handwoven by Amazigh women artisans
  • Made on a traditional Moroccan loom
  • Crafted from 100% natural sheep wool
  • Slowly produced by hand, never mass-produced
  • Naturally soft, thick and tactile
  • Characterized by subtle variations in pile and geometry
  • Finished with traditional handmade fringe
  • One of a kind

Color Palette

Warm natural ivory with soft sand-beige geometric lines.

A quiet, sophisticated neutral palette that changes subtly with daylight and emphasizes the natural texture of the wool.

Interior Style Compatibility

Beautifully suited to minimalist, contemporary, Japandi, Scandinavian, modern organic, Mediterranean and quiet-luxury interiors.

It pairs especially well with light oak, walnut, travertine, limestone, microcement, plaster walls, linen, bouclé and natural leather. Because the pattern is deliberately low-contrast, it can sit comfortably alongside statement furniture, artwork or stronger architectural elements without competing with them.
