Its composition offers a more expressive interpretation of classic Beni Ouarain geometry. Fine warm-brown wool lines move across a creamy ivory ground, forming large irregular diamonds before developing into a much denser network of smaller lozenges through the centre. The asymmetry and subtle variations in the drawing reveal the hand of the artisan behind the piece.

The generous wool pile gives the rug its characteristic softness, warmth and beautifully tactile surface.
